Celebrating it’s 100th year of operation this year, Petaluma Golf & Country club is a beloved private facility located in the beautiful rolling hills of Petaluma, CA. Founded in 1922 thanks to the dedicated work of the founders and the generosity of the McNear family, who gifted 80 acres for the golf course and clubhouse on May’s Hill. The historic clubhouse, designed by Brainerd Jones, a noted local architect was completed in 1924. 33 acres were added in 1943, leading to the addition of three new holes in 1944. Over the years, numerous improvements have been made to the club including the addition of a swimming pool and a second parking lot to accommodate the robust membership. While these additions have enhanced the club for the members, the club has not lost any of the original charm and is viewed as a local treasure among the residents of Petaluma and the golf community of Sonoma County.
