WHIRLWIND GOLF CLUB
Whirlwind Golf Club at Wild Horse Pass is a premium 36-hole resort facility with two championship golf courses and spacious practice amenities. We are searching for a Superintendent for the Cattail course who will continue to provide excellent playing conditions for our guests and be a positive leader for their fellow associates.
This position offers a great amount of autonomy, while still being supported by a Director of Agronomy.Over the past year and a half, we have been happy to see three Whirlwind Superintendents earn positions leading golf maintenance departments at other Phoenix/Scottsdale properties.

This position will be part of a growing company with a portfolio of private, public and resort courses throughout the U.S. We offer cross-facility training, scholarships and opportunities to participate in a PGA Tour event when we host The American Express at PGA WEST.

Associate degree in Turfgrass Management or similar field.
·Minimum 1 year of experience as the primary manager responsible for assigning and surveying daily maintenance activities
·Minimum 2 years of experience in any maintenance role at a higher end facility
·Thorough understanding of central control systems and in field maintenance of irrigation systems
·Must be able to train and improve the work performance of other employees
·Must be able to give clear, concise directions and follow up regularly with employees with both positive and negative feedback
·Current (or ability to obtain) Arizona, Federal, and Gila River Indian Community certification or licensing as a pesticide applicator.
