Seasonal Intern

The Vaquero Club, located in Westlake, Texas, is actively seeking seasonal interns for the 2025 golf season.  This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working on a recently redesigned golf course by Andrew Green, with innovative technology, and a skilled management team.

Vaquero is a private equity club located on former rolling ranch land west of DFW airport. The club prides itself on exclusivity, impeccable service and is highlighted by a championship conditioned golf course for the membership & their guests to enjoy.  The new putting greens are all Pure Distinction Bentgrass and equipped with a hydronics cooling and heating system , as well as, subsurface air to control both temperature and moisture in the soil.  Tees, fairways, and approaches are all Zoysiagrass framed by coastal Bermuda native areas giving the ultimate desired feel of a golf course carved into a ranch. Working with both cool and warm season turf, combined with industry leading technology, makes this a unique opportunity for an aspiring Golf Course Superintendent.

At Vaquero, we are very fortunate to have a club that embraces student internships and investing in individuals who are looking to make this a career.  Professional development is always a top priority and we take great pride in helping advance former interns to become Assistants and Assistants to become Golf Course Superintendents.  Interns will be trained in all aspects of our daily golf course preparation. Tournament volunteer opportunities will be offer to qualified individuals ready to gain tournament experience and begin to build a network for the future.  In addition, each will spend time working with our experts in all areas of the Agronomy operation to gain a base understanding of the working parts that make Vaquero second to none.
