Assistant Equipment Technician

Sugar Mill Country Club is thrilled to offer a fantastic career opportunity for an experienced Golf Course Assistant Mechanic to join our dedicated Golf Course Maintenance team!

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the head mechanic to ensure all equipment is running and operating correctly.
• Assist in repair and maintenance of vehicles, mowing equipment, and other power tools.
• Regularly service equipment.
• Inspect equipment for any operating deficiencies and make routine adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of hydraulic systems and their components, performing necessary repairs.
• Inspect, change, and repair tires.
• Assist in controlling tool access and usage by the maintenance staff.
• Adjust cutting units on mowing equipment.
• Assist the maintenance crew and operate mowing equipment as required when not servicing equipment.
• Train the maintenance staff on the proper care and upkeep of golf course equipment.
• Operate or train to operate various types of maintenance equipment.
• Ensure safe work practices are incorporated in job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Occasionally work in wet or humid conditions, with toxic or caustic materials, and in extreme cold or heat.
• Frequently work near moving mechanical parts with loud noise levels.
