After all these years, I would like to return to the golf course....where it all started. I can be reached at 561-932-8962 to talk about employment opportunities.
I am currently an 2nd Assistant Superintendent/Spray Technician. I have been in the turf industry for 18+ years and also have 5 years of agriculture experience as well. I am looking for a opportunity as a Head Superintendent/ Assistant in the Central Illinois area ( Peoria or Bloomington) or somewhere else if the opportunity was right . I am looking for what opportunities that are out there to help with my future career and goals. If you are interested in me and want more information, feel free to contact me by email at djlueb1978@gmail.com.
Dedicated, attention to detail, ability to problem solve, hard working hands on Superintendent with over 12 years of experience. Excellent mechanical skills. I have experience will both cool and warm season turf as well as in the transition zone. I took a brief break from golf but I have missed it and am wanting to get back to it.
I am willing to relocate for the right course. Prefer on site family housing and a relocation allowance which will allow to start somewhere immediately.
I can be reached by email, text, or by phone and I look forward to speaking with you regarding your course and my qualifications.
Throughout my 15 years of experience as a Golf Course Superintendent I have approached each opportunity with passion, dedication, enthusiasm, and creativity. Having experienced budgets of all sizes, I have always focused on maximizing efficiency. I have learned that regardless budget size, maximizing efficiency is the key to stretching my potential and creating conditions beyond expectations. I believe in quality; clean, green, healthy turfgrass with flowing symmetrical, artistic lines of site, and superior eye for detail.
I am a positive, effective leader with the ability to motivate staffs. Most recent, I was able to transform a negative work culture into a fun and productive one, transforming roughly 12 acres of unsightly or missing turf into the aforementioned quality turfgrass, utilizing less than one full growing season. I am always on board for listening to Owner's, Committee's, and General Manager's visions; a true team player who always considers the club's bottom line.
Having long passed my goal of becoming a Golf Course Superintendent, I have recently decided to set my sights on the CGCS process, a delegation I admittedly did not consider perusing until recently as I entered my 40s. I would like to open that process in my next opportunity.
I am currently an active EMT-B in Southwest Indiana. My schedule, 24 on and 48 off, allows me time to get back in the game. I left golf maintenance so my wife and I could raise our children in our hometown. Opportunities in golf were just not an option in our area. That being said, I'm hoping to return to golf maintenance in a part-time, or possibly full-time situation, if the opportunity presents itself. Although I realize my time away from the game has been substantial, I'm eager to put my knowledge back to work.
Here's a little about my knowledge. Experienced with many different grass types including Bent, Bermuda, Blue, Rye, Fescue, and Zoysia. Worked with USGA spec and push-up greens. Experience with Toro and Rainbird irrigation systems. All aspects of course set-up. Experience with budgets and payroll. All aspects of spraying and fertilizing. Also, as for safety aspects, current with E.M.T., CPR/AED, Firefighter I & II, HazMat 1st Responder Awareness.
I am the superintendent that gets dirty with the crew. I don't mind going that extra mile. I am not the superintendent that sits behind the desk and barks orders. If that's what your after, I'm not him. If you are in search of hard work and results, I'm may be just the guy you're in search of.
