Hello, my name is Cody Burnsed. Thank you for taking the time to look at my qualifications. My wife and I are currently living in North Florida but are actively seeking the opportunity to leave the state. We thrive in rural areas and enjoy the outdoors. While I understand that most courses are in larger cities, we prefer the small-town feel. We are keeping an open mind as to where the Lord might lead us and considering all options.
I am a Christian and, while I don’t push my faith on anyone, I would like to work in an environment where my beliefs are respected. I want to be an active member of a team where coworkers are not afraid to come to me for help when they need it.
I am a graduate of the Florida Gateway College/Lake City Community College Turf Equipment Technology Program.
I previously worked for a John Deere dealership where I was able to greatly improve my mechanical knowledge. However, due to circumstances beyond my control, I left the company in August, 2018. I have a larger collection of tools and a personal toolbox that I would be willing to bring with me.
Though I enjoyed many aspects of my time with the John Deere dealership, I want to return to a career on a golf course so that I may best use my skills and education. I have missed being able to work in a shop and to help on the course when needed.
I do prefer 18-hole courses rather than the larger multi course facilities, but I am remaining open to all possibilities.
I am a big advocate of quality-of-cut and checking over each unit daily prior to its next use, if possible. This, I have learned, was a proven method used by Tom Alex at Grand Cypress Resort to maximize course appearance and minimize unnecessary equipment failure.
Again, thank you for your time.
