Intern On the Edge of Perfection at Arcadia Bluffs Golf Club Arcadia Bluffs Golf Club is a 36 hole, daily-fee golf club located in northwest Michigan. The Bluffs Course is a Warren Henderson design and opened for play in 1999. It is consistently ranked in the Top 100 and Top 100 Public. The course is a links-style course and sits on nearly 3100 feet of Lake Michigan shoreline and features breathtaking views from every hole. The South Course is a recent addition that opened in August of 2018. The course was designed by Dana Fry and sits about a mile south of the Bluffs Course and two miles inland from Lake Michigan. This is a unique opportunity to develop skills in both people management and agronomics. Interns will spend time at each course learning the different properties, management styles, and agronomic plans. Arcadia Bluffs strives to offer a personalized learning experience taking into account each interns personal goals and learning interests. Areas that interns typically gain significant experience in include, but are not limited to: mowing, course set-up, traffic management, spraying and fertilizing, calibration, irrigation repair, moisture management, leading projects, facilitating morning meetings with the crew, and being in constant interaction with Golf Course Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents discussing the agronomic on goings of each course.
