El Caballero Country Club, located in Tarzana, California is seeking a qualified individual to accept the responsibility as Assistant Superintendent. Ideal candidates would report directly to the Superintendent and have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in golf course maintenance / management. Additionally, candidates should hold either a B.S. or Associates degree, or completed a Certification program, in an agronomic or turfgrass management related field. We are willing to train an individual that does not fully meet the suggested requirements. El Caballero Country Club opened for play in 1957. In 1964 the golf course was brilliantly renovated by Architect, Robert Trent Jones Sr. and remains today a classic RTJ designed golf course. Over the years El Caballero has hosted LPGA events, U.S. Open qualifying rounds and most recently the U.S. Woman’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship this past April. The Club offers a great package of amenities to the Membership including a swimming pool, tennis courts, a state of the art fitness center with personal trainers, fine dining and great service, and of course the golf course. Currently we are interviewing several golf course architects to develop a short and long-term Master Plan for the golf course.
