  1. Assistant Superintendent Woodside Club – Muttontown, NY Woodside Club is an 18-hole private country club situated in picturesque Muttontown, New York. Woodside Club is currently seeking an assistant superintendent who is hard-working and self-motivated, shows attention to detail, and has the drive and determination to develop experience and advancement in the turf industry. The candidate must have a positive attitude along with a team-first mentality while also being a leader and setting examples for all employees. Responsibilities: Assist in providing daily job assignments to all crew members and examining work for exactness, quality, and conformance to club procedure and standards. Work closely with the superintendent in preparing short-term and long-term agronomic strategies for maintenance of the golf course fertilization, pesticide, and irrigation programs. Assist in proper application and documentation of all pesticide and fertilizer applications as outlined in the agronomic plan. Assist in inventory management of all pesticides, fertilizers, irrigation supplies, and shop and course supplies, along with communicating future needs to the superintendent. Development of adept skills in the Toro irrigation system and Toro Site Pro, with the ability to repair any and all issues with sprinkler heads, pipe breaks, and other equipment issues. Assist crew members when needed with routine tasks. Perform other duties as assigned by the superintendent and club administrators. Candidate Requirements: 2+ years golf course experience firmly required 2 or 4-year turf management degree Must have a NYS pesticide applicators license or the ability to obtain one within 90 days Prior management experience is a plus Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong passion for the game of golf Benefits: Salary determined upon experience Annual association dues paid On-site housing optional Medical insurance coverage Uniforms provided Golfing privileges All qualified candidates please email resumes and cover letters to s.perkowski88@gmail.com
