History: Del Paso Country Club was established in 1916 in Sacramento, California. The Club has hosted 5 USGA national championships, most recently the 2015 US Senior Open. Del Paso is known as having some of the finest playing conditions in Northern California. The course was designed by world renowned architect Kyle Phillips. The golf course has A1/A4 Creeping Bentgrass greens and cool season Perennial Ryegrass on sand capped fairways. SUMMARY: The Assistant Superintendent reports directly to the golf course superintendent. Under the superintendent’s supervision, the assistant superintendent directs and participates in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, and cart paths; supervises the maintenance and repair of motorized and other mechanical equipment; and does related work as required. The assistant superintendent may serve in the superintendent’s capacity during his/her absence. REQUIREMENTS: 2 years turf grass management experience Minimum 2 year turf grass certificate Valid Pesticide Application License or ability to obtain CA License once employed Bachelor’s degree preferred Salary and Benefits: Depending on experience, serious candidates may start at $60,000.
