The Country Club of Buffalo is one of the most prestigious and very first golf courses in Western NY. At its third location in Williamsville it opened in 1926 and was designed by Donald Ross. In 2012 & 2013 the course underwent renovation back to its original Donald Ross plans from 1924 and 1925. The course is located 15 minutes East of Downtown Buffalo and 30 minutes from Niagara Falls and the Canadian border. The Golf Course was built on the Onondaga Escarpment which holes 5, 6, 7, 11, 12 and 13 Contain limestone quarry rock walls. The Golf Course: Bent/Poa Greens & Fairways, Bentgrass Tees, Fecuse/Bluegrass Bunker Surrounds and a mixture of rough and native area grasses make up this truly picturesque golf course in full summer operation

The Country Club of Buffalo was established in 1899 with the current Donald Ross golf course opening in 1926. The club has a storied golf history and has been the host of: 1912 U.S Open, 1931 U.S Women's Amateur Championship, 1950 Curtis Cup, and the 1962 U.S. Girls Junior Championship. The club recently completed a golf course renovation which consisted of rebuilding 114 bunkers and restoring lost fairway and green perimeters. The club consists of an 18-hole private golf course with practice facilities, four tennis courts, two platform tennis courts, pool, and an established shooting program with novice, trap, skeet, five-stand, and brushwalk fields. The second assistant will be involved in all facets of golf course management including; pest management, record keeping, staff training, water management, irrigation repair, and project management. The candidate will provide supervision, support, and leadership to a staff of over 30 team members and assist the superintendent and other assistants with all daily operations. This is a full-time, year-round position with plenty of overtime available.
