  1. The Turf Manager position with SSC is located at Murray State University Position requires minimal supervision and many times working alone on campus. Coordinate, supervise, and oversee all crews involved in turf maintenance including athletic fields. Primary Responsibilities Develop and implement schedules for the management of athletic fields and campus turf (mow, edge and trim crew), including; cultural management plan, set ups, striping, after event field repairs. Maintain and conduct routine communication with Athletic Director(s) and Coaches Procurement of all materials required to administer a proven management program using approved vendors and within approved protocol. Manage and participate in field(s) set up and take down. Ensure that fields meet all criteria as set forth by the governing body of rules including NFHS, NCAA or professional sport association. Assist in development and implementation plans for emergency response due to inclement weather i.e. snow and ice, hurricane, tornado or other catastrophes. Implement Standard Operating Procedures, follow all protocol and implement Quality Assurance plan. Implement training protocol for regulatory compliance, safety and technical needs. Document and record all training. Implement the use of an environmentally sound pest management program that includes Integrated Pest Management and Sustainable practices where reasonably applicable. Maintain impeccable records of all actions taken to manage identified pests/ abatement or application processes. Light maintenance and repair of equipment. Ensure performance of all work in a safe manner for the employee, subordinates, students and others that use the facilities. Maintain C.E.U.’s for certifications, attend regional, state or national training as requested by RVP Grounds Management or Grounds Manager.

  4. The Grounds Manager is responsible for the management of all Campus grounds management activities. Responsibilities include planning, organizing and directing the day to day work programs to provide ascertained levels of excellence on the main Campus and out-lying properties. Responsibilities also include coordination of grounds management work activity with other Facilities Services department and various Client Departments.   5. SSC is looking to fill the position of Irrigation Manager at Texas A&M - College Station. The campus has over 500 irrigated acres of turfgrass and ornamental beds on nearly 5000 zones and 300 controllers. This position will lead a team of talented Irrigators and Supervisors and will work closely with the Turf and Horticulture / Arborculture managers to manage the irrigation system. The irrigation system is controlled by Weathermatic smart controllers. This position is responsible for: · Managing, repairing and maintaining the irrigation systems at Texas A&M University and the RELLIS campus. · Interviewing, hiring, training, managing and directing irrigation supervisors and technicians. · Performing administrative duties. · Enforcing company policy and departmental SOPs. · Measuring and reporting water usage and backflow tests. · Clear and professional communication. · Other duties as assigned by Turf Manager or Regional Director of Operations.
