The student volunteers from Horry-Georgetown Technical College near Myrtle Beach were planning to arrive in Atlanta this week for the PGA Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club. Hurricane Florence had other ideas.
With Florence descending quickly on the Carolina coast, the HGTC students made a mad dash for East Lake... who gladly accommodated them a week earlier than expected.
