Assistant Superintendent
Bonnie Briar Country Club is a Private 18-hole golf course located 30 minutes north of NYC in Westchester County. Established in 1921, the 150 acre facility was originally designed by Devereux Emmet and includes 2 Practice areas, pool, 4 Har-tru and 2 red clay tennis courts. The course is predominantly poa and bentgrass on greens, tees and fairways. The club annually continues implementation of golf course restoration plan.
Responsibilities include: Assist the superintendent in all facets of golf course and grounds maintenance, including pesticide and fertilizer applications, irrigation system scheduling and maintenance, syringing, scheduling and supervision of 20 crew members. Responsibilities also include record keeping and a commitment to personal and professional development.
Educational Requirements
2 or 4 year degree or Certificate in Turf Management or related field.
Experience Requirements
Applicant should have at least two years' experience as an assistant or as an assistant in training.
Special Requirements
Must have or obtain a NYS pesticide applicators license once employed.
