Assistant Superintendent
The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent in planning day-to-day operations. The individual will be held to a higher standard than anyone on the crew and needs to be detail oriented. The Assistant will help with many different aspects throughout the year. Those tasks may include: mowing, fertilizing, spraying, aerification, course set up, daily water meter readings for green syringing and most importantly being a team player. The individual needs to be able to be ready for any situation and have a good attitude to all other crew members. Individuals who have irrigation repair experience or who are bilingual are preferred. During the offseason the Assistant will help clear native and environmental areas, underbrush wood lines and tree removal on the golf course. The Assistant will help with snow removal in and around the parking lots and all private roads on the property. Therefore, individuals with plowing experience are preferred.
Educational Requirements
Preferred applicant would have 2-4 year degree in Turfgrass Management or a related field but is not required.
Experience Requirements
Applicants who have successfully completed an internship and or 1 or more years on a golf course preferred.
Special Requirements
CT Applicators pesticide license preferred but not required.
