Assistant Superintendent
Bethesda Country Club is a private 18-hole golf course located just outside of Washington D.C. In 2021, the club completed a new irrigation system, better billy bunkers, and multiple tee complexes. This past winter, we completed four more holes of our master plan and starting in November of 2024, we will be finishing the remaining nine holes of our master plan.
This presents an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking involvement with construction. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of the project. Install or modifications of our Toro two-wire HDPE irrigation system, landscape design projects, and drainage, etc.
The former First Assistant Superintendent accepted a Superintendent’s position in the local area. We are currently looking to fill an Assistant Superintendent position.
The applicant should be a hardworking, self-motivated individual with a keen eye for visual details and a passion for the golf industry.
Recent or upcoming graduates are welcome to apply as this is a great opportunity to gain significant experience in the Mid-Atlantic area.
The candidate should be familiar with irrigation repair, disease identification, water management, pesticide/fertility calibration and application.
Educational Requirements
Two- or Four-year degree in a turf related field.
Experience Requirements
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of the game of golf and ability to play.
Special Requirements
Obtain a Maryland State Pesticide Applicator License (3-C, Turf) & Maryland State Fertilizer Applicator License within 90 days of hire. Depending on time of year.
