Spray/Applications Technician

Outdoor Industries, LLC is a plant and turf health care company located in Guilford, CT.  Our services include all facets of turfgrass management such as seasonal agronomic plans, cultural work, seeding, and light construction.  Sites include high-end residential, estates, high-end commercial, sports turf, and private clubs.  We strive to be the best at what we do and are looking for like-minded people to join our team.

Desired crew members must have a strong interest in turfgrass or plant science.  Experience within one of these areas is required.  Crew members must be reliable, hardworking and must enjoy working outdoors.   Crew member will work both individually and with others.   Working in various weather conditions is required.  Communication and teamwork is paramount, as crew member interact with clients, crew members and account managers.  

This is a full-time / year around working position, with overtime available at times during the season. 

No snow removal, and weekends are not required! 

CT Pesticide Operators or Supervisors License Required

Responsibilities:

• Mix and apply fertilizers and pesticides at correct rates.
• Operate ride-on and walk behind spreaders and sprayers
•   Knowledge of safe work practices and pesticide use
• Operate truck and trailer
• Good record keeping skilling
• Attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work alone, and make good decisions 
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly without assistance.
• Time management/organizational skills.
• Clean work habits
• Basic mechanical skills
• Interest in learning and self improvement
