Assistant Superintendent
The Idaho Club is a semi-private golf club located within the beautiful 900-acre The Idaho Club community just 10 minutes east of Sandpoint, ID. The 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course is situated in the Pack River Delta and was established in 2008. The course features bentgrass greens, tees and fairways and fescue roughs. The course is irrigated with Rainbird Nimbus II irrigation system. Our golf season is late April through late October.
The Assistant Superintendent reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and will be involved in all aspects of golf course management. Specific emphasis will be on staff training and supervision, monitoring golf course playing conditions, fertilizer and chemical application, project supervision on renovation projects, and operation and repair of Rainbird irrigation system.
Educational Requirements
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Turf Management
Experience Requirements
At least three years active participation in golf course maintenance preferred. Strong leadership skills, knowledge of the game of golf, ability to obtain an Idaho Pesticide applicators license within 6 months, and a strong desire to produce excellent golf playing conditions.
