Assistant Superintendent

High Hampton, located in beautiful Cashiers, NC, is looking to mentor and advance a highly motivated professional within our Grounds Department Team as an Assistant Superintendent.  The focus of the position will be the daily maintenance and management of the club grounds and Tom Fazio redesigned golf course.

At High Hampton you will be given the opportunity of build your network and professional skills at a  Golf Digest Top 25 Best Golf Courses in North Carolina golf course.  You will be provided a premier learning environment with state-of-the-art facilities, programs and mentorship.  

You will learn the in and outs of a modern-day championship golf course with USGA spec putting greens and approaches with Pure Distinction bentgrass.  

The right candidate will have a chance to accelerate their career advancement in a fast-paced environment that caters to world-class member experiences with 400 members.  At High Hampton we host 12,000 to 14,000 rounds per year.

The successful candidate will have the desire to be an active mentor for others, and wants to take ownership developing short and long term goals for the operation.  They are highly attentive to details, and improving efficiencies and overall performance of the operation.  This person is also passionate about the game of golf, and has a can do attitude to grow in their roles.

Educational Requirements

High School Diploma with certificate or degree in Turfgrass Science or comparable

Experience Requirements

2-4 years of experience in turfgrass maintenance
