Assistant Superintendent

Full-time

Club Background

We are currently looking to add a talented Assistant Superintendent to join our staff for the 2024 season and beyond.  Metuchen Golf and Country Club is a private club located in Edison, NJ and incorporated in 1915. The club offers a championship 18-hole golf course, pool, dining and fitness facilities to its members. The membership is currently full and thriving. The Club has committed to investing into its facilities and golf course with major capital improvements over the past 5 years. We routinely host and support NJSGA and NJPGA tournaments and qualifier events.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with a strong sense of urgency and a tremendous eye for detail. You will be an integral member of the management team and responsible for the overall conditioning of the course.  We encourage critical thinkers and be able to challenge yourself and others on the staff. .

The Assistant Superintendent will have a key role in the completion of course renovations, as our goal is to complete the majority of the work in-house where applicable.  The club is in the process of installing a new 1200 GPM Watertronics pump station and new pump house building along with a new irrigation system is on the horizon.  We have also initiated a bunker renovation program this spring and have plans for new forward tees later this season.

We value career driven individuals that are eager to learn and be mentored. New graduates of Turf Programs are welcome and encouraged to apply.  It is our intention to prepare you for the next step on your career path. Every day will be an opportunity for you to learn and develop the necessary skills to move forward in this challenging industry.
