Assistant Superintendent
Carmel Country Club is a private member owned country club built in 1947 located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The facility consists of two championship golf courses, driving range and short game facility, clubhouse, tennis, and pool complexes. This position is on our North Course that was renovated by John Fought in 2017 and consists of Champion Ultradwarf Bermuda Greens, 419 Tees, Fairways, and Rough. The position reports directly to the Superintendent and Director of Agronomy. Carmel Country Club is unique in the fact we have two completely different courses with different turfgrass varieties on Greens and Fairways. This presents the ultimate learning experience for serious turf professionals.
Educational Requirements
Must have completed a Two- or Four-Year Turf Related Degree
Experience Requirements
Previous Assistant or Assistant in Training experience preferred.
Special Requirements
Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
Must be able to work in all environments.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Must be interested in furthering career in the golf management industry.
Ability to manage staff of 20+.
