Assistant Superintendent
Applebrook Golf Club is a private, 18-hole Gil Hanse Design with bentgrass tees, greens, and fairways located near the Philadelphia Main Line. Since its establishment in 1999, Golf Digest has consistently ranked Applebrook Golf Club among the Best in the State (currently ranked #12). As the Assistant Superintendent, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with other Assistants and the Director of Grounds, participating in all aspects of maintaining this revered golf course.
Applebrook Golf Club recently completed several golf course projects, including installing a new state-of-the-art irrigation system, a complete bunker renovation, practice area enhancements, and implementing Gil Hanse design improvements. The construction of a modern Turf Care Center was also recently completed.

Educational Requirements
A certificate or degree in Turfgrass Management or related field.
Experience Requirements
Previous golf course maintenance experience is preferred, with management experience a plus.
The candidate should strongly desire to advance in the turf care industry and appreciate the time demands of maintaining a championship-conditioned golf course in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Special Requirements
Must have a valid driver's license and must have or be able to obtain a PA Pesticide applicator license.

Applebrook Golf Club also pays for the Assistant Superintendent's attendance at the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show. In-season, the management team uses a rotation schedule to allow for every third weekend off and a minimum of one day off each week. During winter, the team works on a revised schedule that provides for regular three-day weekends.
