Irrigation Technician

Gulf Harbour Yacht and Country Club is seeking an Irrigation Technician for the golf course. The desired candidates would be someone who enjoys working outdoors, is a team player, self-motivated and appreciates the value of hard work. This position is ideal for someone with golf course experience looking to try something new or a previous irrigation technician. Gulf Harbour recently completed a full golf course renovation in 2020, including a new Toro LSM system with HDPE pipe throughout. The irrigator will monitor greens, tees, fairways, and rough for dry areas. Spot water as needed. Repair breaks and conduct basic maintenance to the system.

Duties:

·         Routine daily course set up including mowing, cutting cups, raking bunkers.

·         Repairs equipment associated with irrigation

·         Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment associated with irrigation

·         Maintains complete records on all equipment maintenance associated with irrigation

·         Controls expenses associated with irrigation equipment and activities

·         Maintains inventory of parts needed for irrigation equipment

·         Irrigates all grounds as needed

Requirements

·         Previous golf course experience and/or irrigation experience

·         Valid driver’s license

·         Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively

·         Strong communication skills

·         Must pass background check

Salary: $20/hour
