Assistant Superintendent
The primary focus of this position will be to gain the experience necessary to advance in the industry by working closely with the Superintendent and Director of Grounds. The Assistant Superintendent will help plan and assist in implementing all work on the golf course and club grounds. We have four distinct seasons and acres of both warm and cool season grasses to manage thereby providing a fantastic opportunity to learn. Fawn Lake is nearly 30 years old so there is non stop action in the irrigation repair world as well as lots of improvement projects to keep things interesting.
Educational Requirements
We prefer some form of college or technical school work in turf, horticulture, agronomy, or plant science. It is not required as experience will be considered also.
Experience Requirements
We prefer multiple years or seasons on a golf course, but will consider other similar work. An upward trend with good references is required. We want someone who is driven to improve and move up.
Special Requirements
Verbal and written communication skills are a must. We prefer someone who plays golf and likes the game. Computer literate and comfortable with learning irrigation software, chemical and fertilzer planning software, staffing software, etc...
