Spray/Applications Technician
Bright's Creek Golf Club is looking to hire someone to fill the roll of Spray/Application Tech or possibly a 2nd Assistant. Bright's Creek is a gated private golf community located in Mill Spring NC. The Spray tech will be responsible for most all chemical and fertilizer applications along with helping with all other aspects of golf course maintenance. Candidates must have or be able to obtain a NC pesticide applicators license within 6 months of employment.
Hourly rate will be $20.00 plus per hour depending on skills and experience The position could also be a salaried 2nd with a salary starting in the mid to upper 40's
Primary Job duties
Applying chemicals and fertilizers using various types of equipment such as riding spray rigs, back pack sprayers, push spreaders and tractor mounted spreaders
Maintain chemical application logs and chemical room inventory list
Make all applications using best management practices
Help to maintain a safe and environmentally friendly work environment
Secondary Job duties
Use power tools such as weed trimmers, blower and chainsaws
Mow all areas of the golf course
Assist with irrigation repair and maintenance
Course setup such as changing pin locations and moving tee marker
Assist in projects such as sodding, installing drainage and irrigation
Assist with all other aspects of golf maintenance
Educational Requirements
Degree in agronomy or related field is preferred
Experience Requirements
2 plus years golf course experience is preferred but not expected if you are a recent graduate with a degree in a related field
Special Requirements
Must have or be able to obtain a NC pesticide applicators license within 6 months of employment
