We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Plant Health Care Technician to join our dynamic Property Care team. Position Summary:

The Plant Health Care Technician will be responsible for applying organic sprays and treatments to plants, trees, and shrubs to control pests, diseases, and weeds. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a commitment to environmentally friendly practices.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·       Monitor properties, diagnose plant pathogens/pest issues, and treat accordingly utilizing organic protocols.

·       Promote overall plant health through an Integrated Pest Management approach to minimize the potential for pest outbreaks.

·       Maintain complete and accurate records related to assigned work including work performed, pesticide usage, equipment repair, and maintenance.

·       Operate truck and spray equipment and maintain inventory of materials.

·       Responsible for carrying out other duties as assigned by the Account Manager, Arborist, or Property Care Manager

·       Conduct and participate in employee training

 

Educational Requirements

·       Degree in Horticulture and/or relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, as required by NYS State Law

·       Must be 3A Certified

Experience Requirements

 

·         Must have a willingness to learn and a passion for the horticultural industry. 

·         Strong attention to detail and observational skills, with the ability to identify common plant pests, diseases, and weeds.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

·         Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
