Assistant Superintendent
Assistant superintendent will be working together with our Golf Course Superintendent to ensure all maintenance duties are done efficiently and correctly. Assistant will report back to our superintendent daily to inform him of any problems and job plans for the day. Assistant will be responsible to assign crew members different jobs and change them as they switch from one job to the next, as well as checking on the quality of the job being performed. He or she will have the task of creating weekly schedules and be available to work 40-45 hours per week. Communicate with assistant in training and mechanics to make sure everything is ready to start the day, as well as work as a team. Make Monthly water report.

Educational Requirements
- Obtain or have a Restricted Use Pesticide license within a year of employment.
- Have or Obtain a LTD Commercial Fertilizer Application License
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree, Associate of Science or Certificate in Horticulture, ideally with previous Management experience.
- Have or obtain a Best Management Practices Certificate
Experience Requirements
- Be Knowledgeable on Landscape maintenance, TIF Eagle and celebration Bermuda grass
- Have previous Management experience.
- Have a Florida Driver’s License
- Be able to Perform chemical and Fertilizer Applications
Special Requirements
- Have basic computer skills.
- Have Good communication skills, respectful and work well with others.
- Have high work ethics with strong leadership skills
- Assist Golf Course Superintendent to oversee all maintenance practices and report of any issues or concerns.
- Make schedules for crew members and efficiently assigned jobs
- Monitor personnel members throughout the day.
- Work as a team with the Assistant in training/ irrigation tech. As well as mechanics.
- Solve Problems as they arise by always communicating with the superintendent first.
- Order supplies as needed for maintenance.
