Director of Operations

The Director of Golf Operations is responsible for managing and elevating the golf operational experience, ensuring that all activities from daily operations on the course and practice facilities to tournaments and private events are executed at the highest level of excellence. This role is pivotal in safeguarding the SRI brand through effective leadership, adherence to established standards, and continuous improvement initiatives that drive both operational performance and a superior guest experience. 

Specific requirements/duties of the position include: 

  • Planning and executing initiatives to optimize golf operations while ensuring team efficiency and aligning with corporate standards.
  • Implementing systems and strategies to maintain and enhance SRI’s brand reputation within the golf division.
  • Establishing a framework that actualizes company values in all aspects of golf operations.
  • Coaching caddies, team members, and internal contestants in the game of golf.
  • Conducting staff appraisals, implementing evaluation-driven changes, and driving recruitment processes for caddies and other golf team members.
  • Overseeing and mentoring supervisors and frontline staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Overseeing day-to-day activities on the driving range and pro shop, ensuring operational excellence and a high-quality guest experience.
  • Monitoring the golf range, ensuring the facility maintains standards, and providing member assistance as needed.
  • Maintaining an attractive and orderly appearance at the golf course, including practice facilities and other related areas.

  • Designing and delivering quality private lessons and group clinics, as well as providing instruction for junior golfers.

  • Implementing and enforcing golf policies, rules, and regulations across the division.

  • Managing the coordination and execution of tournaments and special events that enhance guest engagement.

  • Developing and implementing strategies aimed at achieving daily, weekly, and monthly revenue targets.

  • Introducing mechanisms for tracking best practices and integrating them into operational processes

Educational Requirements

 Qualification

  • Degree in relevant field 
  • Certification in relevant professional area

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in senior-level management within the industry.
  • Experience in data analytics and revenue forecasting.
  • Hospitality sales & marketing
  • Revenue management functions include research, planning, marketing positioning, market segments, internal marketing, distribution channels, sales management, and yield management.
  • Hotel and departmental policies and procedures
