Spray/Applications Technician

Riomar Country Club, a premier private club on the beautiful barrier island of Vero Beach, FL, seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Spray Technician to join our Golf Course Maintenance Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about turf management, with the desire to learn and grow within a team environment. This position offers growth potential and would ideally transition into an Assistant-in-Training (AIT) role for the right motivated and passionate candidate. 

Position: Spray Technician
Location: Riomar Country Club – Vero Beach, FL
Schedule: Full-Time, Year-Round
Reports To: Golf Course Superintendent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely mix, apply, and handle chemicals (pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers) on all golf course areas.

  • Calibrate and operate spray equipment, including sprayers, spreaders, and hand-held applicators.

  • Maintain accurate records of applications by federal, state, and club policies.

  • Work closely with the Superintendent and Assistants on maintaining turf health and report pest or disease issues to the Superintendent.

  • Position will assist and perform all aspects of golf course maintenance tasks. 

Educational Requirements

·         High school diploma. The ideal candidate would be interested in earning a degree in turf management.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in turfgrass or landscape chemical application.

  • Florida Pesticide Applicator’s License or ability to obtain within 90 days.

  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling and application procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.

  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
