Assistant Superintendent
· Maintain the golf course and property
· Work together with course superintendent in supervising, scheduling, training, overseeing maintenance team members
· Create an efficient team and efficient maintenance practices to continually improve playing conditions and work force
· Be a part of a golf course renovation with green, tee, and bunker rebuilds, installation of a new irrigation system, cart path replacement, and landscape improvements
· Use tools given to train and enforce safety practices
· Keep detailed records of daily tasks and chemical/fert applications
· Carry out the goals set forth by the club and Director of Golf Courses and Grounds
· Employee management- evaluating, hiring, and firing
· Perform other duties as directed by Superintendents and Director of Golf Courses & Grounds
Educational Requirements
- Pesticide applicators license or willing to get one within 90 days
- Must have general knowledge of the game of golf
- Ability to speak Spanish
Experience Requirements
- 1 year of crew management
- 2 years of golf course experience
