Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Superintendent of Agronomy to join our professional turf management team. This key role will support the Golf Course Superintendent in maintaining and enhancing the playability, conditioning, and aesthetics of our 18-hole course.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in daily golf course maintenance, including turfgrass care, irrigation, fertilization, and chemical applications
Supervise, train, and motivate the turf team to maintain high performance and safety standards
Collaborate on planning and executing agronomic programs and scheduling
Monitor course conditions and contribute recommendations for improvement
Maintain accurate records of chemical use, equipment, and inventory
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Serve as acting Superintendent when required
Educational Requirements: Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management preferred
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of golf course maintenance experience; supervisory experience a plus
Strong knowledge of turf equipment, irrigation systems, and agronomic practices
Valid pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain within year
Proficiency with turf management tools and systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Special Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions
Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Strong dedication to professional development (GCSAA involvement encouraged)

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $80k-85k annually (commensurate with experience) Bonus based on reviews
