Assistant Superintendent

Bay Colony Golf Club is an elite 18-hole private facility located in Naples, Florida.  We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and detailed-oriented professional to join the agronomy team in a leadership capacity.  The successful candidate will be asked to utilize effective communication, strong agronomic skills, and positive leadership to strengthen our team and the membership experience.

KEY RESPONISBILITIES

·         Schedule and ensure the successful completion of daily activities by the golf maintenance staff 

·         Assist in supervising and training maintenance staff to be compliant with all safety and quality standards

·         Assist irrigation scheduling, repairs, and maintenance

·         Assist with pesticide and fertilizer applications and assist with accurate recording of applications

·         Participate in board and committee meetings

·         Collaborate with the superintendent in developing operational budgets, capital budgets, and long term capital project planning

o   Rebuilding the golf maintenance facility in ‘27

EDUCATIONAL AND CERTIFICATION QUALITFICATIONS  

·         Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Business Administration, or related  field

·         Valid driver’s license

·         Exceptional leadership skills

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus  

·         Ability to successfully interact with club management, staff, membership, and guests
