Irrigation Technician

Under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent the Assistant in Training/Irrigation Tech functions to prepare for career advancement within the golf course industry. Examines, monitors, and repairs golf course irrigation and pumping systems. Provides crew leader support including employee training and supervision.  Performs all routine golf course maintenance duties as well as troubleshoots, details, and critically reviews golf course presentation (9-18 holes/day). Provides support to all aspects of golf course maintenance operations including but not limited to: grounds maintenance, facility construction, landscape construction, janitorial support, equipment operation, and special event support. Serves as lead worker for part-time and seasonal staff. Requires some evenings and will work weekend shifts as scheduled.
