Job Description

 Creek Golf Course Assistant Superintendent

The Creek Course Assistant Superintendent will work with the Creek course Superintendent alongside the Quail Superintendent and Assistant while each managing a golf course under the supervision of the Director of Golf Courses and Grounds.  He/She will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of a maintenance program for a golf course.  The Assistant Superintendent should be adept at simultaneously managing multiple projects and tasks, with strong attention to detail, while being a team player, The position requires a high level of competency and the ability to keep workflow consistent and on time. The position, in partnership with the QCCC leadership team, requires innovative spirit and drive, highly developed interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

·        Maintain the golf course and property

·        Work together with course superintendent in supervising, scheduling, training, overseeing maintenance team members

·        Create an efficient team and efficient maintenance practices to continually improve playing conditions and work force

·        Be a part of a golf course renovation with green, tee, and bunker rebuilds, installation of a new irrigation system, cart path            replacement, and landscape improvements

·        Use tools given to train and enforce safety practices

·        Keep detailed records of daily tasks and chemical/fert applications

·        Carry out the goals set forth by the club and Director of Golf Courses and Grounds

·        Employee management- evaluating, hiring, and firing

·        Perform other duties as directed by Superintendents and Director of Golf Courses & Grounds

 

 

Educational Requirements

Pesticide applicators license or willing to get one within 90 days

Must have general knowledge of the game of golf

Ability to speak Spanish

Experience Requirements

1 year of crew management

2 years of golf course experience

Salary $56,000-$80,000 DOE
