Spray/Applications Technician

Founded in 1969, Jupiter Hills is the product of the genius of William Clay Ford, Sr. and George Fazio. Built from a distinct sand ridge that runs laterally along the Atlantic seacoast in Tequesta, Jupiter Hills meanders through one of the highest points in all of South Florida. The two championship courses, the Hills Course and the Village Course, have been guided by three generations of the legendary Fazio family and offer some of the toughest tests of golf in the country. As the proud host of the 1987 U.S. Amateur Championship and 2018 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship, Jupiter Hills is the only club in South Florida to host two USGA National Championships.

The spray technician, under the supervision of Jupiter Hills Course Managers, performs chemical and fertilizer applications on the golf courses. The spray technician is responsible for reading and understanding Material Safety Data Sheets and is also responsible for record keeping of pesticide usage for the golf course superintendent, while also maintaining the chemical rooms in a clean, safe manner, while also storing any incoming materials from vendors/distributors.

• Performs routine safety inspections on all spraying equipment.
• Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state, and federal regulations, and is responsible for the safety and direction of chemical handlers and/or helpers.
• Tracks chemical inventory.
