Tree House is excited to announce the exciting opportunity of Lead Groundskeeper, who will help maintain the successful operation of our 9-hole golf course. The right candidate will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior playing conditions and a pristine landscape aesthetic for our guests. This position is full-time and will report into the Golf Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities of the Lead Groundskeeper:

  • Maintains a manicured, clean and welcoming 9-hole golf course and surrounding outdoor areas- mowing fairways and greens, replacing divots, weeding and seeding, and trimming bushes.
  • Frequently inspects the golf course, general grounds and related areas to evaluate how well management standards are being achieved and to effect improvements where necessary.
  • Assists in the planning, organizing and direction of the maintenance and construction of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
  • Maintain course accessibility and appearance using tools, landscaping equipment, and/or chemicals to perform activities required to provide healthy and high-quality playing conditions for guests.
  • Maintains, repairs, and operates the irrigation system.
  • Assists with all planting, fertilizing and chemical applications, and other care of turf, plants, shrubs and trees on the golf course and surrounding grounds.
  • Works alongside the Golf Superintendent performing the maintenance and repair of golf course maintenance equipment and fleet.
  • Weekend crew responsibilities and expectations with availability for Saturday and Sunday work required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years related experience with general golf course maintenance.
  • At least 2 years experience operating a broad range of light equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in Golf Course Maintenance/Turf Maintenance.Knowledge of agronomy and turfgrass management practices.
  • Excellent communications skills and high degree of professional maturity.
  • High standard of quality course conditions.
  • Willing to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Dependable- willing to work early mornings and weekends.
