Sports Field Management LLC is in search of its next Part Time Groundskeeper at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. This candidate will be expected to fulfill the SFM mission statement for creating and maintaining the finest fields in the sports turf industry with a passion for value, commitment and integrity. The candidate is expected to be a highly motivated self-starter that is able to adapt to the ever-changing environment of college athletics.

Position Overview  

The Part Time Groundskeeper position will be responsible for helping to maintain the athletic fields on campus used by Florida Atlantic University baseball, football, soccer and softball athletic teams. This will include day-to-day preparation for practices and games, as well as turfgrass maintenance, equipment operation and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletic Grounds or Assistant Director of Athletic Grounds. This position comes with flexible hours allowing you to work when it fits your schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain athletic fields on campus
• Perform turfgrass care: mowing, watering, fertilizing, spraying, and cultural practices
• Operate equipment including utility vehicles, mowers, bunker rakes, tractors, and handheld tools (blowers, trimmers, edgers)
• Mark and line fields for games and events
• Assist with game-day operations and other assigned tasks
• Work both independently and as part of a team
