Service Manager

Are you passionate about irrigation tech, the golf industry and excel in technical roles? We're looking for a skilled Golf and irrigation Service Manager to join our innovative team! This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of irrigation systems and golf.

Overview: The Service Manager role will work for FIS Outdoor. They will get on the job training and be sent to the Rainbird factory to be certified by Rainbird Golf. The Golf and irrigation Service Manager will work closely with the Area Territory Sales Reps and help and support the inside sales operations at the branch. They will work with them to plan and execute the installation of products and support of services to our clients.

Requirements

·         Must have a valid Driver’s License

·         Satisfactory driving record. A company vehicle will be provided.

·         Able to pass criminal, background check and a pre-employment drug test.

·         Ability to learn and comprehend new unfamiliar material.

Experience/Industry Knowledge

·         Working knowledge of basic irrigation operations from hydraulics the electrical controls.

·         Knowledge of basic electrical principles. For example, Ohms law, AC/DC power.

·         Use and understand digital multi meters, ammeters, wire locators ground fault equipment, and other test equipment.

·         Be able to read an irrigation mechanical, irrigation, and other landscape designs/plans.

·         Clean and maintain safe working conditions, vehicle maintenance and organization, and follow policy set-forth by management teams.

·         Diagnose, repair, program and installation of central control components such as, but not limited to: Central Control PC’s, monitors, field interfaces, grounding, sensors, sensor input modules. Satellite/controller componentry, grounding, radio mast/towers, brackets.

·         Map data collection and implementation into central control software.

·         2-wire communication, power, and other communication cabling for shorts.

·         Build relationships with existing clients/contractors/consultants. Cultivate new leads and convert clients/consultants/contractors to FIS supporters.

·         Promote FIS as the leader in golf course product knowledge and support and customer service.
