Assistant Superintendent
Overlake Golf & Country Club is seeking a motivated and career-driven Senior Assistant Superintendent to join our turf management team. This is a hands-on leadership role designed for an individual who is ready to take the next step in their career and gain the well-rounded experience needed to advance to a Superintendent position.
About the Position:
The Senior Assistant will work closely with the Superintendent and two Assistant Superintendents in a collaborative leadership team. You will take the lead on daily course conditioning, crew management, and project oversight, while also mentoring staff and contributing to long-range planning. This position offers the autonomy to manage key areas of the operation while benefiting from the support of an experienced and certified superintendent.
Educational Requirements
Turfgrass management degree or certificate, or equivalent.
Experience Requirements
· 2–4 years of progressive golf course management experience; prior Assistant role strongly preferred.
Special Requirements
· Washington pesticide applicator’s license (or ability to obtain).
· Strong communication and leadership skills.
· Career goal of becoming a Golf Course Superintendent.
