Assistant Superintendent

Middletown Country Club (MCC) is a township-owned, public golf course in Langhorne, PA. MCC is seeking a capable, hard-working, and dedicated team member to fill the position of Assistant Golf Course Superintendent - Grounds and Maintenance.
The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with MCC's Golf Course Superintendent to complete daily grounds maintenance tasks and strategize for the days, weeks, and months to come. The Assistant Superintendent will be encouraged to have open communication as well as a willingness to share ideas, thoughts, and concerns that will ensure the success and playability for the golf course and grounds. It should be the goal of MCC’s Assistant Superintendent to advance and move on to a position as Head Golf Course Superintendent at another club within a few years.
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Turf and grounds maintenance (100+ acres)
- Crew and Project supervision
- Irrigation repair & maintenance
- Daily record keeping
- Pesticide/Fertilizer applications
- Meetings with MCC leadership
Educational Requirements
- Currently enrolled or pursuing Certificate, Associates or Bachelors Degree in Turfgrass Management
Experience Requirements
- 2-4 years experience as Seasonal Intern/2nd Assistant/AIT
- Possess or willingness to pursue PA Pesticides license with Category 3B certification
Special Requirements
- Ability to competently & safely operate all golf course maintenance equipment including but not limited to mowers, power tools & front end loader.
- Ability to lift 50lbs
