Internship Program Overview

Our program is designed to develop the next generation of turfgrass leaders, providing hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to tournament-level standards. Interns leave Edgewood prepared to step into assistant or managerial positions within the golf course industry.

Interns will gain experience in:

• Daily course management (setup, mowing, scouting, etc.)

• Fertility management (calibration, application, and seasonal planning)

• Irrigation management (tournament moisture controls, troubleshooting, repair & installation)

• Cultivation practices and cultural management strategies

• Televised tournament preparations (American Century Celebrity Championship)

• Leadership training and crew management

Candidate Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Turfgrass or Agronomy degree program

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn

• Prior golf course maintenance experience preferred, but not required

Compensation & Benefits

• $20/hr + overtime

• Housing, meals, uniforms, and golf privileges included

• Internship duration: 3 or 6 months

• Start date: Spring 2026
