JOB SUMMARY - GENERAL MANAGER
Responsible for the management of all aspects of the club including its activities and the relationships between the club and its guests, employees, and community. Directs the work of all department managers. Drives revenue and profitability. Implements and monitors the budget, elevates the quality of the club’s products and services and ensures the highest guest satisfaction.
Position Overview:
The General Manager leads and directs the golf course’s overall operation through maintaining quality standards, maximizing profits, developing and retaining employees, and exceeding guest expectations.
Primary Responsibilities include the following.
Responsibilities:

Report directly to the Board while leading and directing golf operations and providing leadership for additional departments in food and beverage, sales, merchandising, membership development, and maintenance.

Partner closely with the Board to achieve revenue goals through Sales and Marketing teams; and create and execute programming, marketing plans, sales and pricing strategies.

Create and execute short term and long term operational and financial plans for the club.

Develop business programs which map revenue streams to targets and achieve at correct margin expectations.

Monitor and meet forecasts and results on a daily/weekly basis. Adjust programs and business strategy as needed to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.

Ensure proper controls are in place to accurately track revenue, payroll, inventory, expenses, and project timelines.Ensures proper billing/invoicing of all course activity and functions.

Ensures golf course is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws.

Responsible for the hiring, development, and retention of a highly talented staff to meet all business targets and excel with providing service for club members and guests.

Ensures all departments are achieving goals and maintain strong working relationships.meets with department heads on a regular basis to ensure departments are performing to stated goals.

Leads, develops, maintains and disseminates a basic management philosophy to guide all course personnel toward optimal results, employee morale and guest satisfaction.

Manages and processes payroll for the course; maintains and manages all employee files and records.

Guarantee staff is providing the highest level of excellent guest service in which delighting the customer is the principal goal.

Guest and membership development with service excellence, promotional programs, tournaments.

Player development programs for adults and youth golfers

Serves as the community liaison for the club; meets with special interest groups when necessary.

Must maintain the confidentiality of Company, club and employee information.
Work Availability:

8- 10-hour shift

Day shift, Late Evening shift

Must be available to work Holidays, Weekends and Night Shifts, according to business needs.

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred w/ a strong business and finance background.
