Assistant Superintendent
Pelham Country Club is a high-end private, 18-hole, full-service Country Club on 120 acres, very near New York City. The golf course, designed by course architect Devereux Emmet, opened in 1921. The club recently completed a large renovation with golf course architect Mike DeVries. The club received the 2021 MGA Arthur P. Weber Award for Environmental Leaders in Golf, was featured in the USGA Record – Meeting Changing Needs at Pelham Country Club, and in Club and Resort Business - A-supreme-solution. The club sits on a very urban and dynamic site, and improvements and repairs are a consistent part of course maintenance.
The Club puts a top priority on its course and conditioning, with regular golf course projects, equipment and technology upgrades, such as GPS-controlled sprayers in 2024 and robotic mowers planned for 2026. The club is currently planning a new irrigation system and the completion of the remaining six holes of the master plan. Reconstruction of the 2nd hole is scheduled for the fall of 2026.
