Superintendent/General Manager
We are training Turf Farm Managers at our New Jersey and Long Island, NY farms. Take the lead in producing premium sod for municipal, residential, commercial, and sports turf markets. If you have experience in turfgrass (or a passion to learn) this is a real opportunity to build a career with an Industry leader that is approaching 100 years of success.
· Learn to manage day-to-day operations on the turf farm: planting, mowing, fertilizing, irrigating, and harvesting
· Operate and maintain equipment: tractors, mowers, harvesters, and irrigation systems
· Monitor turf health and soil conditions; implement pest, weed, and disease control strategies
· Maintain inventory, equipment logs, and production records
· Collaborate with sales/logistics teams for harvest and delivery coordination
· Ensure safety and environmental compliance
Educational Requirements
Turfgrass, Agronomy, or Ag-related education (preferred but not required)
Experience Requirements
· Experience in sod production, golf/sports turf, landscaping, or row crop farming
· Strong mechanical skills – a “hands-on” approach to maintenance
· Leadership mindset – you understand a team approach to crew management
· A "get-it-done" attitude and love for working outdoors
