2026 Turfgrass Internship
Huntingdon Valley Country Club, a William Flynn design in the Philadelphia area, is offering seasonal internship opportunities for motivated turfgrass students. Interns will gain hands-on experience with all aspects of high-level course maintenance while building leadership skills in a supportive and professional environment.

What You’ll Learn
Interns rotate through all key areas of golf course management, with emphasis on:

Daily maintenance: mowing, course setup, tournament preparation.

Soil/water management: TDR moisture meters, hand watering, irrigation scheduling.

Agronomy: scouting, IPM programs, fertility applications.

Cultural practices: aeration, venting, topdressing, overseeding, and detail work.

Irrigation: troubleshooting, auditing, and repairs.

Equipment exposure: mower setup and cut-quality checks with the equipment team.

Leadership development: small crew management, safety, and effective communication.
Educational Requirements
Enrollment in a certificate, 2- or 4-year turfgrass or related program is preferred.
Experience Requirements
Previous golf course experience is preferred but not required.
Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and team-oriented attitude.
