Come spend a summer where turfgrass management meets the Atlantic Ocean!

The Maidstone Club, located on the East End of Long Island, is offering three hands-on internship opportunities for motivated turfgrass students. Whether you join us for three or six months, you’ll gain elite turfgrass experience while living in one of the most iconic summer destinations in the country.

A One-of-a-Kind Setting
Maidstone’s 27 holes stretch across a diverse and scenic landscape: windswept dunes along the ocean, wetlands surrounding Hook Pond, and classic woodland corridors. The West Course was originally designed by Willie Park Jr. and beautifully restored by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. It sprawls out from the clubhouse and meanders out to the Atlantic Ocean, with 800 yards of coastline defining its southern edge. Alongside the championship course, you’ll also find a bucolic 9-hole layout, 19 grass tennis courts, 4 Har-Tru courts, croquet lawns, and a beach club.

Your Internship Experience
As an intern, you’ll be fully immersed in every aspect of turfgrass management—working daily with our management team and gaining exposure to all playing surfaces and sports. With a cap of three interns accepted per season, you’ll get personal mentorship and the chance to truly grow your skills.

What we are Looking For?
•    We are seeking students interested in pursuing a career in Turfgrass Management. Ideally candidates have some golf course experience but it not necessarily a disqualification.   
•    Hard working individuals that have a high attention to detail and that take directions in stride
•    Dependable, respectful, honest individuals who can work and live happily within a diverse community 

Season & Flexibility
Internships start as early as March and can last through November and can be customized for 3 or 6 months depending on your schedule. We welcome both local and national applicants, and interviews can be arranged remotely via zoom.
