Assistant Superintendent

Shadow Valley is an 18-hole private golf course with memberships limited to only homeowners that live in Shadow Valley. We maintain all the grounds on the property including the golf course (consisting of L93 Bentgrass greens, HGT Bluegrass collars and tees, Meyers Zoysia fairways, and 419 Bermuda rough), clubhouse, main entrances, pool landscape, and parks. Shadow Valley is in its final phases of land development for residential homes, paving the way for renovation and irrigation projects to the golf course and surrounding areas. The responsibilities of this position are the following, but not limited to:

·       Fertilizer/Pesticide planning and applications

·       Golf Course/ POA weekly cultural practice

·       Employee management

·       Basic equipment repair = sharping reels, setting height of cut, etc.

·       Irrigation diagnoses and repair

·       Weekly project planning

·       Decision making skills

·       Eye for details

·       Work ethic of being hands on and teamwork

·       Leadership abilities

·       Construction renovation design and layout

·       Preparation for golf tournaments

·       Able to lift over 80lbs frequently for length of work day

·       Work Sundays and some holidays
