About Osoyoos Golf Club

Nestled in the heart of wine country and surrounded by the stunning landscape of the South Okanagan, Osoyoos Golf Club is one of British Columbia’s premier 36-hole golf destinations. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional member and guest experiences and fostering a warm, welcoming atmosphere both on and off the course.

We are currently seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our team. We’re serious about great conditions and great people—and we like to have a little fun along the way.

Position Overview

We’re looking for an Assistant Superintendent who’s as passionate about turf as they are about teamwork. Whether you’re a turf student eager to apply what you’ve learned, or a seasoned hand who’s ready for a bigger stage, you’ll help lead daily course conditioning, communicate clearly with staff and members, and keep operations humming—sunrise to “last cart in.”

Key Responsibilities

·         Lead and support the turf team in daily set-up: mowing, rolling, raking, set-ups, and detail work.

·         Monitor course health (moisture, heat stress, disease pressure) and contribute to agronomic plans.

·         Assist with irrigation scheduling, hand-watering, troubleshooting, and effluent-water best practices.

·         Execute cultural practices (topdressing, aeration, verticutting) with precision and pride.

·         Train seasonal staff; reinforce safety standards and positive, professional communication.

·         Coordinate with Equipment Tech on set-up and light equipment care; report issues promptly.

·         Help with record-keeping (apps, spreadsheets, whiteboards—whatever keeps us aligned).

·         Be a visible, approachable presence with members and guests—clear, respectful, and helpful.

Who You Are:

·         Tough, resilient, and solutions-oriented. You show up, you problem-solve, you get it done.

·         A clear communicator with staff and members. Comfortable explaining terms like heat stress, effluent water, and working in a unionized environment.

·         Detail-obsessed. You notice lines, lies, and little things that make the course feel “tour ready.”

·         Team-first. You’re positive, reliable, and the kind of person we actually enjoy spending time with.

Qualifications:

·         Turf diploma/degree or relevant experience in golf course maintenance.

·         Valid driver’s licence; comfortable with early mornings and variable weather.

·         Familiarity with irrigation systems; effluent-water experience is a plus.

·         BC Pesticide Applicator’s Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

·         Experience leading crews—especially in a unionized setting—an asset.

·         Tech-curious: able to use mobile tools/apps for schedules and records.

Why Join Osoyoos Golf Club?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected club that values both its members and employees. You’ll enjoy a supportive team environment, the chance to contribute to a community-focused organization, and the lifestyle benefits of living in one of BC’s most beautiful regions.
