Job Summary

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Golf Course Assistant Superintendent.  We are hiring a Sales Associate for our International Market. It is an office job at our corporate office in Lakeland, Florida, Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  The Sales Associate plays a vital role in the sales department by providing comprehensive operational and administrative support to both external customers and our field-based Territory Managers. This position is central to the sales cycle, requiring highly accurate order processing, meticulous record-keeping, and exceptional customer service to ensure smooth, efficient business operations.

The Sales Associate position also represents a unique opportunity to learn about international business by engaging with our suppliers, distributors, customers, and experienced field service managers. Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Support:
    • Process all phases of the sales cycle, including entry of sales orders, purchase orders, and warehouse transfers, ensuring high accuracy.
    • Manage billing functions, which involve generating invoices, issuing credit/debit memos, and reconciling customer account discrepancies.
    • Create and maintain critical product data, including SKU numbers, within the system.
  • Customer and Logistics Support:
    • Serve as the primary internal contact for customer and sales staff inquiries regarding product availability, order status, and inventory data, leveraging knowledge of agronomy products.
    • Expedite and track customer deliveries, coordinating logistics and shipping confirmations directly with freight carriers and customers.
    • Provide documentation such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels as required.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Data entry, which includes accurately entering customer information, updating account assignments, and processing contact changes.
    • Assist with daily and month-end closing procedures by inputting all necessary sales and financial information.
    • Support Territory Managers by researching product recommendations and solutions.

Educational Requirements

An Associate Degree in Agronomy is preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Industry Expertise: A strong preference for candidates with a background or working knowledge of the Agriculture, Golf, or Turfgrass industries in the southern regions. Experience in a related environment where agronomy or chemical products were handled is highly valued.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of a PC environment, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Skills: Exceptional data entry accuracy, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively multitask and problem-solve in a high-volume setting.
  • Communication: Proven ability to communicate professionally and clearly, both verbally (pleasant phone demeanor) and in writing.
  • Composure: Demonstrated ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure while assisting team members.
