Seasonal Intern
Located in East Quogue, NY on the eastern end of Long Island. The Hills is a Discovery Land Company property designed by Tom Fazio which opened in May of 2025. The property consists of an 18 hole championship golf course and practice facility, racket center, outdoor pursuit activities and 110 homes which are currently under construction. - Daily maintenance to course (course setup, mowing, rolling)
- Management of 007 bentgrass greens and fairways
- Precision moisture management on putting greens with use of the TDR's
- Chemical and fertilizer applications
- Cultural practices (topdressing, aeration, verticutting)
- Irrigation troubleshooting and repair
- Learning of a Toro Lynx 2 wire system with a Watertronix pump station
- Small crew management
- Will be involved in daily meetings regarding scheduling and agronomic planning
Educational Requirements
Must be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year Turfgrass program or related field
Experience Requirements
Previous golf course experience is preferred but not required

This internship is a tremendous opportunity for any college student looking to forward themselves in the golf industry. Interns will work closely with the Director of Agronomy, Superintendent and other Assistants.
